When Rob was 17, he was traveling to the US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs when he met Tom Dowd in the Cincinnati Airport. Serendipitously, they were on the same flight, eventually getting on the same bus from the airport. Because their names were close enough alphabetically, they spent the next week together in the same 10 man flight experiencing the Summer Scientific Seminar. 18 years later, they’re together again! Except this time, the fighters aren’t static displays.
